Privacy
Effective 2026-11-01. SiteCheck is operated by Datacleave Ltd. ("we"). Questions: privacy@datacleave.com.
What we process
- The addresses you ask us to scan and the results: stored so the report page works, so repeat scans are instant, and so the history of a page can be shown. Scan results describe public pages, not people. Results are kept indefinitely unless the site owner opts out (see About the scanner), in which case they are deleted.
- Share images named in a scanned page's meta tags are fetched through our server so they can be shown in the report and in ChatGPT, and cached for up to 7 days.
- Request logs: for each scan we log a timestamp, the scanned host, the outcome, timings, and either a hashed IP address (website) or a hashed ChatGPT user identifier (plugin). We never log full IP addresses or the content of your conversation. Logs are kept for at most 6 months.
- ChatGPT plugin: OpenAI sends us a pseudonymous user identifier, your locale, and the arguments the model chose for the tool (the address, device and rescan flag). We use the identifier only for rate limiting (hashed). OpenAI is a separate controller for everything that happens inside ChatGPT; see OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Third-party services: Google's PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report APIs receive the scanned page's address. No data about you is sent to them.
What we do not do
No advertising cookies, no analytics inside the ChatGPT card, no sale of data. Affiliate links on report pages carry no personal data. We do not scan pages behind a login.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about an address you scanned or about your hashed identifier, and ask for deletion, by e-mail. EU/UK residents have the rights in the GDPR; we answer within 30 days.
